Sassafras Wool Store is located in the quaint township of Sassafras in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. 
The store is an eclectic mix of old and new.  Beautiful Antique furniture and chandeliers adorn the front of the store, flowing into a labyrinth of texture and colour in the wool store.  Sassafras Wool store is a hands on store, where customers are encouraged to feel the yarn before they purchase.

Both International and Australian yarns fill the store,  including Filatura De Crosa, Anny Blatt, Noro, Heirloom, The Rare Yarn Company, Sirdar, Sublime, Touch Yarns,  TeAwa, Opal Sock Yarn and more.  We also have our own spinners who spin and hand dye slub and finer yarns. 

Also available are an array of knitting needles including Knit Picks, crochet hooks, stitch holders and patterns.   Wool tops for felting are also available.
Sassafras Wool Store offers classes in Knitting & Crochet. Ready made garments including scarves, hats, shawls, jumpers, socks and gloves are also available.  Our stock is sourced from local knitters, A Touch of Alpaca (fine alpaca products grown and made in Victoria) and possum products from New Zealand.

Sassafras Wool store has something for everyone.  Our Auto Memorabilia section is great for the car enthusiast or collector.    Our Antique furniture sells quickly so new items are arriving on a weekly basis. A great collection of vintage china, cameos, hat pins, dolls and unusual collectables are also available for purchase.

The store sells giftware including a range of jewellery, soap by EST (made in Melbourne), baskets, cards, lamps and much, much more.
Sassafras Wool Store is located near the famous Miss Marples Tea Rooms, Ripe, The House of Coffee and renowned toy shop Geppettos Workshop.
